I wrote a history of the West Parish of Haverhill, 1640-2010. There are copies in the Haverhill Public Library. I also have some for sale.

Horns from cattle were made into combs in the westerly end of Haverhill (Ayer's Village). A comb shop there was moved by Henry Ford to Dearborn Village in the Detroit, MI area. Ford also had the beautiful steeple of the First Church of Christ (Bradford Common) sketched as a basis for his Martha-Mary Chapel in Sudbury, Massachusetts, where I and many others have performed weddings for couples wanting a vintage New England setting for their vows.
